Be lucky in this beautiful shamrock sarong. The shamrock, a symbol of the whole of Ireland and a registered trademark of the Republic of Ireland is a three-leafed old white clover. The shamrock was traditionally used for its medical properties and was a popular motif in Victorian times. It is also a common way to represent St. Patrick's Day, a holiday celebrated on March 17. Shamrocks are said to bring good luck. The triquetra is often used artistically as a design element when Celtic knotwork is used. Many who identify as Modern Celts may use the symbol to display an identification with Celtic culture. Sarong measures approximately 66" x 44" inches on fringed lightweight rayon. Photo is close to actual size. Please note color, size, and design will vary due to the handmade nature of this item.
